new look...new feel

Got my 3 miles in today....didn't feel as good as it should have. Funny how one day you feel like a gazelle flying across Africa effortlessly and the next day you feel like a 300 lbs hamster running aimlessly in circles sucking wind. Ok ok...it wasnt that bad...but like I said...should have been more gazelle like. Still lovin me the new shooz though. I'm so scared now that I booked my hotel for AtLaNtA! Did any of you have similar anxiety issues when training for your first run? You start investing so much money and you are scared you are going to cop out...well I better go get my stinky ass in the showa! Peace :)

I think I invest money to FORCE myself to run. ha ha. New shoes, outfits, hats, iPod, Watch, Garmin, New Scale, Different Energy things, Fanny Pack (god I hate that one).

Anxiety is normal. You'll do just fine!

Wow, nice sassy and girly banner. Good job on the running and by the way, guys love new running shoes as much as the ladies do. 3 inch spikes...not so much.

Unfortunately I think I have more of the 300lb hamster runs that the gazelle runs. Nice Blog.

You got plenty of time to get ready for a half mary!! And usually, the first 10 minutes of every run is major suckage, that's why they tell us to warm up first. Now, if I would just listen :-)

Nice kicks! Loved my Brooks. I already plan on going back to them after I wear these new guys out.

The most important thing with your training is train smart. Run easy on easy days, slow on slow days, and fast on fast days. If you aren't sure, then just go with what you feel like and have fun!!

Have a good weekend!

I run therefore I shop! It's a bit chiken and egg, but the last 100 miles on a pair of shoes can go real fast or real slow. Oh and I see you're a Nike+ user, welcome to the clan!

Anxiety makes you run faster, but try to go out at the right pace and you'll be in good shape

Welcome to the blog world. Love the look of your blog and great pics!

Not doing the Hilton Head Race. Rarely do any road races. Just too hard on the body. My first trail race was this past Feb and from that point on I was hooked to running off road events. Something about it that I just LOVE!!

So you are running the Atlanta ING. I hear is it an awesome event so you should really enjoy it. Train smart and stick as close to your plan.

New running shoes or running clothes are my fav!! Enjoy!

I'm with P.O.M. I spent a ton of money as a way to keep myself from dropping out. The clothes are the most fun to buy though!

don't worry, you'll be great!

spending the money means no copping out for me.

Just found your blog through Robin's. It's always good to see other Georgia running bloggers join the party!

I might pace a friend or two at ing. it's the weekend before a 50k that I'm running, so running the race wouldn't be conducive to tapering (which I LOVE).

I saw your comment on Robin's blog. I keep a comprehensive list of Georgia trail races on my blog. You can find it here: http://atlantatrails.blogspot.com/2007/11/2008-georgia-trail-races.html
