Gots my hairs did.....& a Garmin

So funny story. Yesterday I decided to go and get my hair chopped. Made an appointment at a reputable salon...(said I didn't care who the stylist was) and was on my way. Well I'm sitting there and this girl walks in and her name tag says "Raye Ann". She looked straight out of a cowboy boots magazine or something...and I was frightened. Should I lie and say my name is not Christine???? I'm fearing for my hairs life over here!!!

I decide to go through with it...and managed to bite off all my nails just while she was washing my hair. The scariest part was not her cutting my hair...OH NO! It was the fact that she decided to talk about a Peacock crossing the road the whole time. "Wow...I was just so shocked that all the cars stopped to let it cross...".. WHAT????? Seeing a peacock in the middle of the road isn't exactly the green light to hit the gas pedal. I mean who wouldn't stop to let a peacock cross the road?! I was so terrified that this lady could ramble on about a peacock for an hour. Never once did she say "where are you from?" "why are you in savannah?" "what do you go to school for?" noooo....alllllll the peacock. In the end though...she did alright. I'm not too picky about my hair. Here it is! Moral of the story : Don't let someone named Raye Anne cut your hair unless you want to talk about peacocks.

Also I got an early birthday present!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ended up getting the Garmin 305 since the 405 is barely available anywhere. Also I heard the 305 actually has more options..and a larger screen. I think I'm in love....and I love how its so darn accurate. Man..I transform into a real runner more and more each day. Can't wait to start posting splits. I did a 5 miler with it yesterday and it was fantabulous:)

HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY!!! I HAVE A CARDIO FINAL AT ONE AND I WANT TO SHOOT MYSELFFFFFFF! WHICH IS WHY I SHOULDNT BE BLOGGING BUT OH WELL!!

Oh I love love love my 305. Have fun with it. It's so freeing not to have to measure your runs beforehand. Nice haircut, it's cute.

Love the hair and I agree with Amanda. If/when you have time please post more thoughts on the Garmin. I have also heard the 305 is the way to go. I don't have one (yet).

Good luck on the final!

The second pic looks like the dog is sticking his / her tongue out at you.

I have the 305. It's fun. I use it for bike riding as well. I use the hr to see how hard / easy my run that day was. Just be cautious on your marathon with the garmin. The garmin is accurate for the course you go, which may not necessarily be the most direct course. The moral is your garmin might register the marathon as 27, so also watch the course markers which are sometimes wrong as well. Just an fyi

It's wicked cute. Last time I got my hair cut as I was walking in my stylist was having an arguement with a customer and the customer was screaming about the service she had done. I was very frightened, but she did a good job.

Welcome to the world of Garmins...you will never want to run with anything else...it's the BEST!!!

Good luck on your exams!!!

PS...I must say I am a bit concerned with Eater coming up and all the family dinners. I think this upcoming weekend may be sabotage for the abs....oh yeah...I like the hair.

Garmin is awesome. You'll learn to love it so much that you feel like you can't run without it. Enjoy. (Oh, and that cowboy girl didn't do such a half bad job on your hair!)

I hope you like the 305! I just got one a couple of weeks ago and it's great! I wish it was a little smaller though, sometimes I have to put it in my pocket because it's a bit cumbersome on my wrist.

I love my Garmin 305. I'm a data guy, so it really works for me. I really like the splits and the elevation profiles. Hair looks good. :-)

Your hair looks so cute - I love it! I'm due for a trim and will take your Raye Ann advice to heart. Also, do give us a full review on the Garmin! Looks like I may be following in your footsteps both with signing up for a marathon and getting a Garmin. I'd be especially interested to hear how you think it compares to the iPod Plus, as I know you love that one, and it's a lot cheaper than shelling out the big bucks for a Garmin.
