The end of the world as we know it..........

THis is the last post before the marathon....which means it could quite possibly be my last post ever! hahaha jk! ANyway...the weather situation has taken a turn for the worse...it went from 75 & sunny to 52 & rainy. I'm keeping positive and thinking running in the cold & rain for 26 miles might be fun??! no? I'll let ya know how it turns out!
Either way...I don't want a "DNF". I will be so happy to cross that finish line...that I might even actually try to pose nice for my pic instead of sprinting across and looking like a dead cow at the finish line.

So there ya have it. Cheers to good times with good friends and a great city. This will change my life for sure...for better or for worse ... (wow..I sound like I'm getting married...)...and I'm just totally stoked for it!

Then hell begins on Monday again...aka OR rotation and classes. Also I made my spring training plan for triathlons...YEAH BABY! WIth my main goal to do the Chattanooga waterfront tri with Lana! oooooooh man...i better get trainin :) First things first though.....holla!

Goood luck. I hope the rain holds off. 52 sound like a perfect running temperature, but the rain will stink. If it does rain make sure to put body glide all over you b/c being wet will make you chafe worse. I find that when I run in the rain, I always chafe around where my armpits and my sports bra meet from moving my arms back and forth.

Good luck, I can't wait to read your race report!

Good luck, Christine. Fifty degrees is actually the perfect running temperature, although if thats the high it could be a bit chilly, but still much preferred to 85 or 90!

Looking forward to hearing about you rocking it!

Good Luck. You are going to do great no matter what the weather is like. Fifty degree temps, I think are nice for running. The beginning might stink but once you are a couple of miles in, you'll appreciate it. Can't wait to hear all about it.

52 is great, trust 26 miles in 75 degrees is tough, been there done that!

If it's going to be cold, here's a tip; go to Walmart and get some disposable clothing, sweat pants, sweat shirt and gloves, it'll keep you warm on the ready line, you can toss them a couple of minutes before the gun and they get collected for a good cause, I did this for LA and got a complete outfit for under $10. Oh for the rain tuck a trash bag with holes in for you head and neck in your pocket.

You'll look stunning!

GOOD LUCK!

Good luck on the race. I have the worst luck with having good weather on races. I've actually come to expect a rain or snow storm while I am running. My first marathon is still my PB...go and get em...you'll do great!!!!

Good Luck Christine. Go get 'em! I'm sure you'll do great and have loads of fun, no matter the weather. But just in case, bring a garbage bag , cut holes and use it as a poncho!

Good luck on your first marathon! From past experience (mine and others), 52 and rainy is going to give you a much better finish time than 75 and sunny. You'll be racing just to get into some dry clothes :) Enjoy it!
